Roles and responsibilities
• Identify and or confirm three priority skills trades needed by the private sector

• In collaboration with private sector stakeholders facilitate the training of 100 youths to enhance their supervisory skills
• Facilitate the training of 150 youths in selected priority skills.This will include their going through a graduate internship program which will be conducted in cooperation with UNDP and the National Youth Commission
• Link the trained youths with private sector employers for employment
• Conduct capacity building in TVET management and governance for the selected TVET institutions
• Perform any other activities in line with the assignment as may be directed by the Project manager.
• University degree in disciplines such as technical and vocational education studies development studies social sciences or other related qualification
• Minimum of ten years of professional experience in the field of vocational education and training, TVET curriculum development TVET teaching learning materials development design monitoring and evaluation as well as training TVET curriculum experts
• Experience in at least two projects as an expert in preparation and or delivery of training and teaching materials in the selected field of TVET or related
• Experience with experiential learning action learning work integrated curricula and through understanding of the issues surrounding employment challenge will be an asset
• At least five years of experience in the designing or implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems at TVET schools
• Experience in training of curriculum developers
• Advanced level of English
• Knowledge and experience of education and vocational education systems in West Africa would be an advantage
• Strong communication documentation and presentation skills
• Demonstration of strong analytical and research skills
• Demonstrable experience designing and delivering training curriculum to youth audiences including on youth employability
• Experience of interactive and innovative training approaches engaging young people
• Experience working on supporting youth employability programs
• Excellent knowledge of current trends opportunities and challenges in relation to youth employment in Sierra Leone or similar countries in transition including an understanding of both youth and employer needs.
